Children! the Bronze bleated, stumbling awkwardly to his feet and lurching forwards - only to fall flat on his face moments later. His children were hatching! His children were hatching! Their children were hatching! His and his Abarineth's children were hatching. The grin on his face said it all as he stayed laying there, the majority of his teeth showing to the audience. If his tail could wag it would complete the picture. He was, in a strange way, adorable. Even the sleepy T'nan thought so. The Weyrleader was laying flat on his back in the sand, staring at the ceiling. He had been leaning against the Bronze, until someone had decided to move. But my children- 'Go and curl up with Aba, Caith. You're getting in the way.'The Bronze whined for a moment before obeying, standing eagerly before heading straight for the Blood with the good intentions of winding himself around as much of her as he could and complimenting her until she grew sick of it. With a purr he leaned down to nuzzle her, wings held tight against his back while T'nan stumbled to his feet behind him. Flicking back and forth between the Weyr and the ship was not as easy as one would think. Not only did he have to do work at both ends, but there was also the fact that the times changed occassionally, depending where the ship was around the planet. It was...Confusing to say the least. The man mumbled as he setpped up to Myarin, reaching our to her in much the same way his dragon was to his mate: hands reaching to go around her waist while he leaned forwards to try and kiss her temple. "Mornin'," he mumbled, gancing over at the dragonets that were already on the sands. "A Gold and a Blood, congratulations to Abarineth." He just hoped they didn't fight. It hadn't happened before, but there was a first time for everything; and he was too tired to try and take in what they were like. Abarineth! Beautiful Abarineth, our children are wonderful, Caith cooed, nuzzling as close as he could get while still purring like a cat that had just been given cat nip. But they were! And they were not all hatched yet. As the Bronze clutch father tried to contai his excitement, more eggs were hatching. The two that had been near the Brass at his hatching had begun to shake even more, the sand underneath them moving and rippling outwards as the mounds opened up even more from the shaking...Until finally they simply crashed into each other. Shards went flying as flashes of green and blue tumbled from them, the two creatures obviously not likeing the predicament they were in. But who could blame them? The Green's tail was wrapped around the Blues, and the Blue was standing on the Green's head in an attempt to get free. The Green whined, twisting and turning under her brother in an attempt to get free. Maia! Maia get me out of here!Rygeth won't get off your Dimeth! she wailed, wings flaring and hitting the Blue in the face. I won't get off? Please do get your wings out of my face, or my D'mian shall do it for you. Won't you, D'mian?Name: Dimeth Color: Green Personality: (Forgetful, Cordial, Flirty) Dimeth is forgetful she rarely remembers anything for very long and is perhaps the only one that will do anything again thinking she hadn't done it. She is also a flirt she loves to flirt with everything even when she doesn't know what flirting is. Dimeth is also a very polite dragon she is the one dragon that will help and be cordial to everyone. Appearance: Dimeth is a very light sea green color, she darkens ever so slightly towards her stomach and her paws. Her body is a bit big for her paws but she will grow into them given enough time. Dimeth will be 28 meters at full growht Impressed to: MaiaName: Rygeth Color: Blue Personality: (Calm, Understanding, Flirty) Rygeth is a very calm dragon he is a thinker and enjoys to be around females though he doesn't often talk to them he is almost always trying to think of something to say. When he does find a female he wants to speak to he is a shameless flirt, he is perhaps the one male that will take his time about anything he is also a very sensitive male he knows who will make a decent candidate. Appearance: Rygeth is a very dark blue color almost as dark as a stormy day, his hide lightens ever so slightly along his back and the leading edge of his wingsails but that is only ever so slight. His build is that of a feline and he moves with the grace of one, he is a mid sized dragon for his color, his wings are average as well as the rest of him. Rygeth will be 30 meters at full growth Impressed to: D'mian (Dalmian)

~Candidate Blavack/Weyrling Bl'ack and Brown Dirath~
Blavack hadn't really expected to impress, he had hoped and dreamed, but never really expected it. Which was why when the brown hatched, he only gave it a passing glance before lookin back at the eggs. Bl'ack, there you are, I'm Dirath. Did you ever think I was anothers? Did you? I bet you did. A voice spoke in his mind, making him look around and noticing the brown at his side. Feed your Dirath please? He is most hungry. It said again and Bl'ack gaped down at the dragon.
"Dirath? Oh Dirath, I am so glad you waited for me. We will certainly get you fed." Bl'ack intoned lightly, reaching out to lay his head on the darkish brown head and lead the dragonet over to where the food had been set up. What a wonderful day, many people were impressing and there were two new weyrwomen, even if only juniors for now.

Belor stood before the clutch, a stoic look on his face. He wouldn't admit it, but he was scared. The other candidates seemed to be Impressing quickly, but Belor was worried that he wouldn't know what to do.
He watched as a Brown hatched and Impressed to one of the other boys. That left eleven eggs, almost half the clutch gone. Belor swallowed dryly, trying to fight the feeling of anxiety growing in the pit of his stomach. What if he had come all the way here only to be left standing?
But...surely a dragon would want him. Belor stood up straighter and crossed his arms, trying to draw on his usual confidence.

Isoazus was so busy being busy that, oh-so-brilliantly, he refrained from noticing the fact that the Hatching had started. There was something about being aboard a living ship (or whatever it was, he wasn't totally clear on that) that made him want to use every single ounce of his time here to his best advantage. He couldn't just...waste it...by moping around and wishing he were back on the ground. It was interesting.
There was so much to see...so many people to pester meet...yeah, he'd found the few days he'd been here so far to be absolutely thrilling. He'd seen the clutch only once, and was looking forward to seeing it again, but in the meantime he'd resolved to spend the time as productively as possible. Which was to say, he was going to poke into every nook and cranny, get thoroughly in the way of the crew members and make people wonder if he had any conception of the idea of "personal space." He did. He just...didn't tend to take it into account.
That was probably a side effect of the fact that he'd spent most of his younger years with animals as his closest friends. They didn't tend to care. In any case, he was happily wandering around, oblivious to the reverberation of the humming, when it dawned on him that the ship was awfully quiet ...Not that anything like this could ever really be quiet but the concept still applied. It was unusually...empty? No, that didn't work either. There were still plenty of people bustling about, but it did seem different in some way.
Isoazus stopped, and really listened...and in that moment, realized what it was he'd missed. "Shards!" he swore, breaking into a desperate run. How on Pern could he have missed the Hatching? That was the whole reason that he was here! If he was stupid and missed it, then that would make the whole excursion pointless, and he could never see how dragons compared to canines for general awesomeness.
The young man burst into the hatching caverns, generally rumpled and altogether late, but he slowed to a casual saunter, flashing a grin at both Weyrwoman and Weyrleader, and then bowing to the Queen and her mate. That covered all the bases, didn't it? Okay, so he'd missed a good deal of it, from the looks of it...but that wasn't important. There were still plenty of eggs to watch, and he took his place, oblivious to the fact that he lacked his Candidate's robe, amongst the others. Better late than never, right?
((Sorry this sucks, I've been feeling awful since I got back. I hate being sick -.-))

~Myarin of Blood Abarineth~ Caith be calm it does the children a disservice to be so excited and it is also unsettling to me. Abarineth told the bronze before he curled up around her, she was intrigued by his behaviour as always he was an interesting dragon to be around. This was why Abarineth had chosen him time again over all other dragons, she wondered if he knew what was in some of the other eggs. She hoped that she might have actually produced the rare bronze x blood diamond, that would be a good sign for them! "Morning, love how are you?" She said looking at her Weyrmate, what was the Emperor's plan? It confused her but she looked at him when T'nan spoke again. "Yes a gold and a blood I was surprised, Abarineth is hoping for a rare blood and bronze pairing diamond to come from this clutch. Also congratulations are in order for Caith he is the clutch father." Myarin told him as she looked at T'nan with a loving smile at him. Indeed they are Caith, look another two will be hatching soon! Abarineth said as she looked at another two eggs that were hatching she wondered what these two held. Just as Abarineth spoke two eggs began to shake and wobble, they were going to soon break apart into two different things. First there was a vibrant orange that broke shell it stood in the sand looking around kind of dumb wondering what it was going to do next then it realized what was suppose to happen however it was then its brother decided to crash into it. The egg broke into a diamond, a large and decent looking diamond he was a very intriguing looking diamond. Abarineth crooned to her son he would be her pride for the next FIVE TURNS! However she watched as she waited to see if they was going to impress well it was then that she saw the orange walk to a boy first then his eyes whirled red he slashed him. Your not B'lor. He said out loud walking along the male candidates he was looking for B'lor where was B'lor...He wanted to find B'lor, he was not happy where was B'lor! He hissed his displeasure then he found him, there was B'lor! There you are B'lor feed your Criasth! He is hungry and agitated he had to go and find you, why were you hiding from your Criasth! He asked looking at the boy. The diamond was more sedate about moving off to find his, he was calm and serene about it. It wasn't long before walked along the male candidates and found the boy he walked along the boys for a bit before giving the girls a cursory glance. They weren't what he wanted, there was the one he wanted the boy worthy of him he walked up to him and sat down. I am Crichtonth now that is out of the way could you get me some food please? As soon as the Diamond was free a Rainbow burst and sauntered over to Hers, sat down and crooned to him. She was ever so hungry and was letting him know without speaking about things, it was not something she was going to say at all right then but she was eager to eat! Name: Criasth Color: Orange (m) Personality: Demanding, Bossy, Protective of Hatchlings Appearance: He is a VIBRANT orange, he is stocky and small. His build is along that of a pitbull from old earth, he is not a thin or lithe dragon. He has no grace and his wings are long and thin they allow him flight but they are not likely to carry him very high. He will be 44 meters Impressed to:B’lor (Belor)Name: Crichtonth Color: Diamond Personality: Confident, Loyal, Brave, Protective Appearance: He is a light colored Diamond to begin with at his head, then towards the middle of his body it darkens and begins to swirl a bit. These markings are very unique he is an interesting looking fellow because he is often looking at himself. His body is long and lean but he walks with a cat like grace. He will be 50 meters Impressed to:M’kal (Mirkal)Name: Aberienth Color: Rainbow (F)Personality:Hyper, Energetic, Always on the moveAppearance:Aberienth is a very interesting rainbow because her hide is an interesting combination of color. She is vibrant and bright, she is not dull anywhere on her hide and she is very energetic, she never slows down and loves to move. She will be 26 meters at full growth.Impressed to:I'azus(Isoazus)

~Candidate Dalmian/Weyrling D'mian of Blue Rygeth~ Dalmian looked at Maia before rushing over to his blues side and looking at him Rygeth he'd called himself, that meant that he'd impressed but who'd impressed the green then he saw his sister over there helping as well that must have meant she'd impressed to the green. So they were impressed to a green and a blue? This was going to be hard him not to end up in her bed.
What ever do you mean? I will not do that with Dimeth she is not like that, and I'm not even old enough now get her off of me! Rygeth told him as he looked at the Weyrling Rider he wanted free and he wanted it NOW! Not when D'mian felt like freeing him it would have been most inconvenient to be stuck here forever.

~Candidate Maia/Weyrling Maia of Green Dimeth~ Maia heard the call of the green and glanced at her brothe before rushing to the green's side she needed, help but whoever was bonded to the blue would need to help as well. It was then she looked up to see D'mian, he was helping as well he must have impressed to the blue this was going to be an interesting relationship that was for sure.
Please Maia help me get free! I need to get food and Rygeth is needing to get free. Dimeth said as she looked at Maia, this was going to get complex but the dragonet was unsure if Maia was actually going to help her. However Maia with D'mian's help managed to get Dimeth free with Rygeth and the four of them went to get food.

~Candidate Ziran/Weyrling Black Stripe Green Z'an~ I'm coming my sweet, don't worry I'll be there but who impressed to the other dragon do you know so I can get you free? I don't want to interfere with anyone after all you are my dragon aren't you? Ziran said as he looked in the direction of the two dragons where was the other weyrling? It confused him but he wondered who had impressed to the black stripe blue. Ziran gulped as he thought about his own fate, he wondered what his dragoness looked like he was sure that she was pretty but what else what did her stripes look like? My brother Zorth impressed to one called K'lor. Inorith responded as she struggled more to get free, he was trying his hardest to get over there and trying to get his dragon. "WHERE THE FRELLING HELL IS K'LOR? MY DRAGON IS IN THERE AND I DON'T THINK ZORTH WILL LET ME HELP!" Z'an bellowed as he looked at the assembled candidates.

~Candidate Kaselor/Weyrling of Black Stripe Blue K'lor~ Kaselor heard the poor dragon scream in his mind, he looked over to see the black stripe blue with his head sticking precariously out of the top of his egg. Calm down little one I'm coming His mind touching the dragon in a calming way. K'lor ignored the exasperated candidate, "Come on now sit still, calm down little one." He said as he freed the two dragons, stroking both of them on top of their heads. K'lor let him steady himself as he propped up the green, "Are you ok?" He asked of the green before he added "Go on go find Yours."

~The Emperor~ The Emperor watched as the Candidates impressed and eggs hatched, he was on the Bridge. As he did this he watched as the last of the nine eggs hatch, it was an interesting event to see unfold. Eberon began to feel uneasy with this many little dragons running around, because the queen had felt uneasy for so long. Eberon jumped as four ships came up out of the atmosphere at him causing everyone on board to be jolted as he turned and armed his weapons. Tashel strided towards the window and watched as the four transports arrived with weyrlings, "Calm boy steady, engage the docking webs. Pull them in," As soon as the ships had been pulled in by the energy fields, Tashel calmly walked back to his seat and turned his attention back to the signal still faintly ringing in his ears, he hit several keys on the table. Where once the cargo bay and the hatching had been now there was a Nathi kneeling before him in one hand a staff weapon, then he stands and looks at him. In a deep guttural hissing voice he spoke. "My lord there's been a ship detected on the long range sensors at the edge of our space. It's transmitting an old earth IDTC." After he spoke the Emperor asked, "Have you investigated it?" "No my lord we can spare no ships given the current engagement in the Mendross system." Tashel stared at him and mused for a moment, The Rebellion must not get the weapons of the earth long past if the stories from our history are true. Then these weapons could greatly complicate things. He straightened up sitting at his full height. "I will send someone to investigate, fight well."

Isoazus was not exactly expecting another egg to hatch almost as soon as he arrived, but he certainly wasn't complaining. The candidate tilted his head, watching the Orange breaking free with considerable interest. Oranges were male, yeah? He wasn't up on his dragon lore, but he was pretty sure they were. He was a lot more familiar with the more ordinary coloured creatures of Pern...ie. the brown and black ones. Nothing quite that spectacular.
"Well, of course I'm not B'lor," he informed the dragonet mildly as it passed him by. "I'm Isoazus." Psh. Silly creature. Actually...come ot think of it, that meant one of these boys must be B'lor, if the hatchling was looking for him. Which one was it? Now he was curious. Craning his neck, the young man bounced on the balls of his feet and searched for a Candidate who might look like he'd just Impressed. Admittedly, he didn't really know what that was supposed to look like, but it must look like something.
However, he was distracted from that by the fact that another egg had hatched, spilling a Diamond onto the sands, and that dragonet too passed him by until reaching one of the young men who definitely wasn't Isoazus, but that was okay because he didn't want to Impress something that regal anyways. It was bound to be no fun. Turned out that was okay, because a Rainbow broke free of one of the other eggs the instant after the Diamond had Impressed and was wandering....towards him?
The movement was undeniably feminine, even considering the hatchling gawkiness, and he held his breath as she came his way, not daring to believe it. That didn't mean that he stopped moving, shifting nervously from side to side and drumming his fingers, or combing them through his hair....until she stopped, and made it known that she was his, forever. I'azus stared down at her incredulously, and, for once speechless, opened and closed his mouth stupidly. She was hungry and she didn't even need to tell him?
Of course I don't, she said brightly, nudging him. But I would appreciate something to eat! "Of course," he assured Aberienth hastily. "Of course!" How could he have ever thought a Canine was better than this? It wasn't even comparable. Shards and shells...The Rainbow bounded off, with her energetic rider in her wake, grinning all the way.

"'m tired more then anything else," T'nan chuckled, blinking blearily in the dark light of the cargo bay. It was amazing what you could do with a few heaters and a ton of sand. Though why they couldn't have used the hatching sands back home for this...Everyone was waiting on the results so it would be recorded. But it was a great honour to be allowed to come here. Too much work, but a great honour. They had done a fine job, though, but - and he was far too tired right now, he knew it even as continued thoughts of 'why' flickered through his head. He always questioned things when he was tired. A bad habit. It hindered more then it helped, and it annoyed him to no end.
"Here's to hoping there is one, if only to keep the Queen happy, and if I congratulate Caith any more his head will exploud," he yawned, moving to rest his head on her shoulder while he had the chance to relax. There were barracks to prepare when he got back, paperwork to fill out, records to organise, a feast to prepare, guests to invite, food to be brought into the Weyr. So much to do in so little time. He was thankful for the wait in between. "But how are you?" he murmered. They'd get back to the Weyr, soon, and he could spend more time with her, since he wouldn't be flicking back and forth between two places. She deserved more of his time, and he hadn't given it to her, and he no longer had that portrait to make it up to her - he thought he saw the painter at the back, huddled up with a Brass.
I never meant to unsettle you, he cooed, deflating slightly as he shuffled closer to her. He had never meant to upset his mate, not in the slightest. She was one of the most amazing creature on Pern - apart from his children, of course - and she didn't deserve to be unsettled. She'd chosen him for so long now - according to T'nan, that was - and she deserved to be kept as happy as possible, if he could make it so. There was only so much he could do to make her happy.
He cooed brightly to the eggs as they rocked, lifting his head sharply to try and see around her. He did love her, but Abarineth was a bit bigger then he was. The bright Orange that broke it's shell first was given a small bugle, head swaying as Caith wrinkled his muzzle into some semblence of a smile. He was trying to not be too loud to keep Aba happy, he didn't know if he was suceeding or not. The Diamond that followed would keep her happy though, even if it wasn't because of him. He crooned to his son, eyes swirling a happy green. He had a Diamond son! He hadn't had one of them before. T'nan snorted, earning a whine for his troubles before smiling himself. "A Diamond...She'll be happy."
